My name is Zoltán Csernus. Growing up with Tumpek Ferenc, I knew of his love of knifes. I came to the U.S.A with my wife in 1988, and I we began our lives in Southern California. During a visit to my hometown saw the exquisite line of knives Ferenc Tumpek had designed. I knew that when the collectors of fine knives saw them, they would step right up to the best.
Ferenc Tumpek gave me the rights to exclusively sell them in the United States.

 

Ferenc Tumpek - Folk Artist, Knife Maker
Ferenc Tumpek, a European Master knife maker. He has been making handmade knives since 1975 and has been a full-time custom knife maker for well over ten years. He is very well-known in Europe, and soon in America! You could see his work in Knife Mania magazine (Europe) and Cutting Edge March issue (3/00). where his knives sold for $500-600. Jager hunting magazine readers named him the 'Best Custom Hunting Knife Make' (11/97). Deutsche Jagd-Zeitung (8/96) named him 'Top Quality Custom Knife Maker'. His folder and hunting knives is pictured on the Knife Mania magazine front page on 2001 June issue.. ST HUBERTUS magazine name him Master of Knives 2001/6. You will find him in most major European knife shows. He comes to the USA 1-2 times a year. His work is as beautiful as any American blade smith, and the quality is on par with any of our own master knife makers. He is also a personal friend whom I respect highly.

Hunting Knife: The logo consists of the acronym made of the first letters of the names of my children and my wife. I have chosen the emblem showing a ram head, because both of my children were born under the star sign of the Ram (Aries). I am making hunting knives exclusively produced as unique models or in a small series. The knives are made with high level hand work and are valuable knives of connoisseurs, experts, collectors and amateurs. All the materials are selectively chosen. The knives are meticulously constructed. The finished knives have an unmistakable practical design. All DNC knives have a shape thinning towards the tip of the handle called by the trade jargon as a "Tapered Tang". The finger guard is made of chrome alloy steel, wich is corrosion. proof and rustproof material. The information listed under the pictures give detailed information about the size, weight and other details. With the help of the "our offer" section you can design a DNC knife of your own.

Tumpek Knife: -Artistic knives Materials, design, ergonomic, ornaments and functions are determined according to the individual demand, the composition of the knives artistic level is done to these main individual demands. My knives are selling in USA, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands and other European countries. In February of 1999 I visited the U.S.A. Pasadena. One of my artistic knives won the judges special award for the best technical innovation at the Knife Expo 1999.
My Father is a big help to me! He is handcrafting the leather sheath for my knives. Each year I make a special knife for collectors limited to 100. pieces. Each knife is numbered, and comes with a certificate!
